A word from our instructor, A.P. Henry …

In this environment I want us to explore using our artistic utensils to explore expression and creativity. I want to leave open to your interpretation the basic ideas of artistic terminology. I want to answer any questions you may have and show you how I do what I do. Shape, form, and color have perception with less restriction and rules than I anticipated and I want us to continue to learn to use the unknown and unexpected to our advantage through the power of freedom and experimentation. All through the creative process so little of what will happen when the brush or pencil touches the paper or canvas is actually known and that is what makes art freeing, emotive, and attainable to anyone who knows they have been gifted the right to express themselves in love. Therein lies the freedom and power of choice. We can make pictures that are alive through freedom and trueness of perception. In these sessions we'll be drawing with pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, and any other drawing medium you might bring for us to play with along with watercolor and acrylic painting in consecutive and intertwined orders. I'm here to help and demonstrate what I can.

My name is Andrew Patrick Henry and I paint murals, portraits, sculpt, build, design graphics digitally, make fine art, and generally create. I grew up homeschooled in southeast Spalding County. The signs, art, graphics, objects, and images I construct can be used for a broad range of applications. I have done work for the film industry and worked for many large to small corporations and businesses along with countless individuals from all walks of life and tailor the work to your needs. I earned my Eagle Scout and at 19 I took my first lessons outside of watching Bob Ross paint on public television when I attended a small workshop by Teresa Thurston in Griffin, Georgia at 19 years old. After completing that workshop I began classes at Gordon College. I graduated from Gordon State College Suma Cum Laude with double honors and an associate of arts degree. Since launching my professional career in 2012 I have enjoyed using my developed skill for communities, businesses, and individuals across the United States and abroad.
